GAO Denies Protests on Defense Contract Bid Awards

Two defense companies with a large Sterling Heights presence should be able to resume $166 million worth of contract work on the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, after a U.S. Government Accountability Office ruling today on that project.

The GAO issued a recommendation today denying the protests of a November bid award to three contractor teams on JLTV, including Sterling Heights-based General Dynamics Land Systems and Rockville, Md.-based BAE Systems, which houses much of its Ground Systems’ combat systems in Sterling Heights.
